There are three papers to choose from:
Olmec Gloss (260 gsm) - a quality, bright
high gloss paper which is comparable in finish to cibachrome.
This paper is the one to go for if you prefer the gloss finish
of traditional photographic prints.
Olmec Satin (260 gsm) - a versatile paper
with a pleasing semi-gloss finish which is especially good
for portraits and atmospheric landscape shots. Our favourite
paper.
Fotospeed EG High White Smooth Art Paper
(315gsm) - a heavyweight matt art paper with a smooth finish.
The 'EG' stands for 'extended gamut' and this paper has a
special coating which is brighter, and produces more vibrant
colours than many other matt papers. The surface is also good
at resisting scuffs which is often a problem with art papers.
Matt finishes work very well with larger prints and are especially
suited for display in frames where you want to minimise surface
reflections. This is also the best paper to go for if you
plan to sell unmounted art prints. |
