We scan all popular film formats including
unmounted 35mm, 35mm in glassless mounts, XPan, 6x4.5, 6x6,
6x7, 6x8, 6x9, 6x12, 6x17 and 5"x4". Transparency
and negative, colour and monochrome. Each original is individually
assessed, colour corrected, scanned to your requirements and
meticulously hand cleaned (except 'JustScan').
| Scans are made with an Imacon (Hasselblad)
949 Flextight dedicated film scanner. This has a class
leading 'dMax' value of 4.9 which means it resolves more
detail from your original image. Your film is held in
a flexible glassless file holder which Imacon call a 'virtual
drum'. This flexes as the scan is made to ensure perfect
edge-to-edge focus. The end result is a superior digital
file from your work. |

There are four types of scan available.
"LibraryScan provides a finished 8bit Tiff file of 75Mb
- perfect for library submission or A3+ printing. JustScan
is the same but with no post-scan cleaning for those who prefer
to do their own edits. AlamyScan is also similar to LibraryScan,
but the final file is saved as an 8bit JPG file in line with
Alamy's submission requirements. Finally, MaxScan takes the
technology to the limit for each film format and is the one
to go for when you need a really big file.

"Beautiful
clean, sharp scans. But I think the thing that impresses
